WAVE ENERGY DRINK RINGS IN A “FREESTYLE” NEW YEAR
Wave Energy Drink Company to Participate in Monster Truck Freestyle Nationals
(MOORESVILLE, NC) December 31, 2009 – Banking on the success of its varied racing programs, Wave Energy Drink is set to ring in the New Year in 2010 with a sponsored effort in the Monster Truck Freestyle Nationals Event at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, NC from January 1-3rd, 2010. Wave Energy Drink sponsored driver, Nick Hoffman will run an Outlaw Sprint Kart in a support series at the all-weekend long showdown.
The Monster Truck Freestyle Nationals is a touring event whose appearance in Charlotte this weekend will mark the largest indoor event ever in the Queen City. Familiar monster truck participants such as Bounty Hunter, Rock Star and Carolina Crusher will be competing on a wild freestyle obstacle course with the winner crowned on Sunday.
The support series for this headline event include the Outlaw Sprint Karts and local Legends (600 Racing Series) entrants. 17-year old Nick Hoffman, set to drive the entire 2010 American Modified Racing Association (AMRA) Series in a Wave Energy Drink-sponsored ride, is looking forward to competing in front of a large indoor crowd for a change. “This is going to be an absolute blast,” said Hoffman. “These Outlaw Sprint Karts are so fun to drive, it’s unreal. We were able to work out a last minute deal to get my 2010 sponsor, Wave Energy Drink, on this kart and it’s a true blessing to get an early start on this relationship. I just want to give them and the fans a real show,” he added.
Practice sessions begin on Friday, January 1st at 11:00 a.m. Heat Races for the Outlaw Sprint Karts begin at 6:45 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings.
