In 2009, Nick Hoffman Motorsports established themselves as a major player in the Open Wheel Dirt Modified racing world. Racking up 9 wins with a 45% winning percentage, and average finish of 4th weekly, it was rare not to see the #2 PME Engines/Mittler Brothers/Carl Edwards Motorsports ride up in the front of the pack. NHM has only went BIGGER with plans for 2010 to back up, or better themselves, in only Nick Hoffman’s 2nd full season of Open Wheel Modified racing. From there, NHM competed in the Arena Nationals Outlaw Sprint Kart Series weekend of Jan. 1st at the Bojangles Coliseum. Recently Hoffman was spotted at Time Warner Cable Arena for the Charlotte Checkers Hockey “Race Night” where again they presented the “NEW” ride onsite, and Hoffman signed autographs with the likes of Joey Logano, Michael Waltrip, Mike Bliss, and many more. Currently Nick is running in the Winter Indoor Karting Series where they have completed 2 of 6 events, and Hoffman is leading points currently with 1 Win, and a solid 2nd place run, only to be beat by 2010 Chili Bowl Nationals Champion, Kevin Swindell. The relentless campaign isn’lettig up, with a Sunday test scheduled for January 31st at the Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC. The team hopes to utilize the test to prepare for their first visit to Speedweeks at Volusia County, where NHM has slated their 1st race of the year on Feb. 4th. They will be running three consecutive nights in Florida Speedweeks, before traveling way further northbound, to Pevely Speedway in Missouri, and then beginning their touring series campaign for Champion and Rookie of the Year in the AMRA Modified Series. Mooresville, NC – Nick Hoffman Motorsports starts the season of fast. The team successfully pulled off their first victory of 2010 Indoor Karting Series at the PIT! Nick started the first of a six race series on the right foot with his Wave Energy Drink entry. After clocking in fastest in open practice, he went on to finish 2nd in his qualifying race which placed him on the outside of the front row for the 20 lap A-Main event. The battle for the front spot didn’t come easy where Nick followed in second for the first eight laps. Nick passed for the lead on lap nine. It was only another lap where he was re-passed for the lead and continued to run second. Nick “Thrill” Hoffman put his move on the lead one more successful time on lap 10 and went on to lead the remainder of the second half of the race where he brought home his first checkered flag of the 2010 racing season. “It was great to come out on top the first official race for me in 2010…it really gets me and my modified followers pumped up for speedweeks and the rest of the 2010 season” Hoffman Stated. “To top it off I won a free case of Wave Energy Drink tonight too” The race recap will air on Time Warner Cable 18, Dish and Direct TV 14 channels stay tuned for airing dates. The second series race will be held at the PIT in Mooresville on Wed. Jan. 27th at 7 p.m.

Driver Nick Hoffman to Run Six-Week Slate at the Pit Indoor Karting Facility in Mooresville

(MOORESVILLE, NC) January 19, 2010 – Anxious to get any racing in before the regular season commences, Wave Energy Drink driver Nick Hoffman is set to participate in the Adult Winter League Series at the Pit Indoor Karting Facility in Mooresville, NC, located at 346 East Plaza Drive. The Winter League, which begins this Wednesday, will run every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. for the next six weeks until a champion is crowned. Wave Energy Drink will be an associate sponsor of the series, hosting sampling events onsite and donating cases of product for victory lane. For the first time, the Adult Winter League will be a televised series, with Charlotte-area viewers able to watch previous Wednesday night action on Friday nights at 7:30 p.m. on either Time Warner Channel 18, or DISH and DirecTV Channel 14. Nick Hoffman, set to compete in the full American Modified Racing Association (AMRA) Series this spring, intends to use this experience to sharpen his reflexes for the long days of racing ahead. “Indoor Karting is a competitive hobby and sport, and I am going to take this as serious as I would with any racing that I do,” said Hoffman. “I hope this will help knock the rust off my elbows from the winter and give me a head start for the 2010 season.
